“Journalists for the Future” NGO is inviting journalists working in the regions of Armenia to participate in the “New Media Tools of Mass Media” course.

Regional journalists who work for regional and/or national medium (TV, radio, print and online), have minimal computer and internet skills and at least 3 years of journalistic experience can apply for participation.

The three-day course aims to introduce the journalists to new media tools and to the facilities of their usage in the job thus developing journalists’ professional skills.

The workshop will be moderated by online resources’ experts Ivan Zasursky (Russia) and Arthur Papyan.

The participants theoretically as well as practically will examine and discuss different topics related to the transformation of mass media in digital environment, the impact of social networks and the ways and rules of communication on the Web domains.

Deadline for applications is February 18, 2011.

Please, attach a statement of purpose why you want to participate in the course (up to 200 words). Write MARZ on the subject line of your letter. Otherwise entitled letters will be considered unsatisfactory and therefore not be read.
