People were crying, praying and were seized with horror, but couldn’t see the Sputnik in the sky,” tells the director.

The showcase is conducted in collaboration with the National Gallery of Armenia which did it best for 7 films to be subtitled in Armenian.

“We know American cinematography well, but American documentation is not so famous in Armenia. The American documentary beginning from Robert Flaherty till nowadays became an interesting evidence of our life. These are just facts, but lifeless, until not presented with eyes of a human being, the way they are seen by people,” at the showcase opening ceremony said the deputy minister of Culture of Armenia David Muradyan.
