ABOUT US:

 Journalists for the Future (JFF) is a nonprofit organization with mission to promote and support the diversity of information, freedom of expression and speech, as well as the development of unbiased media. By studying the current realities in the media JFF works for the future focusing on the introduction of new technologies in the field of information and on the development of alternative resources in the media. Since 2007, JFF has worked with more than 3000 beneficiaries, among them journalists, journalism teachers, students, CSOs and local observers implementing a wide range of projects regarding journalism, new media, ethics and copyright issues in the media, information security and rights, internet literacy. JFF has conducted a number of researches in the field of online media, has covered issues regarding media and freedom of expression and has developed a number of guidebooks on the media and civil society.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The role of project manager is central to the success of the nonprofit organization and requires the post-holder to be organized, flexible, able to manage multiple tasks and able to work independently.

We are looking for someone committed to media, journalists’ rights and social justice who recognize the importance of providing excellent and seamless organizational support in a dynamic work. This is a wonderful opportunity to take a first step in to the CSO sector and join a team who will value your commitment and ideas to building upon The JFF’s successes. The post-holder will work closely with the CEO to ensure the smooth running of the NGO and will offer a wide range of professional development opportunities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

We are looking for an enthusiastic person with the ability to instill enthusiasm in others, with experience of event planning and management useful.

–      Higher education;

–      Strong interpersonal skills;

–      Strong verbal and written communication skills in Armenian and English (knowledge of Russian language is a plus);

–  2 years’ work experience in the relevant field; knowledge and interest in media and journalism is a plus.

–      Computer skills;
