Paršonis is a lecturer of Vilnius State University. He teaches his students the art of writing a blog and the secrets of being active in the Internet. He is sure that a person can do much more in the Internet than the whole media. He made sure on his own experience that even one record can cause extensive public discussions.

Džiugas Paršonis: In Yerevan I told the students about a blog project where the bloggers took a kind of food product and revealed how harmful its content is. Commercial companies sued the bloggers but the civil society struggled and prevented the illegality. That is, the society needs blog, free speech, and blog has quite a considerable impact.

That is why Paršonis gave up professional journalism and got engaged in blogging. He believes that in the near future New Media will be more audible and comprehensible. Events taking place today are the vivid proof of this and the impulse addressed to mainstream media.

Džiugas Paršonis: The most impressive media personality of the West Rupord Merdok together with Apple will publish so-called electronic newspaper. Who would have ever though such thing is possible? This is a challenge to traditional medium, which have not yet understood what is happening in the world.

Paršonis has earned money and paid even taxes with his blog. But he knows that the blog and New Media don’t intend only earning money. He advises to think not about the money but about something interesting to write.

Džiugas Paršonis: People who have just opened a blog begin playing, following whether it looks nice or not, pleasing that they are read. Then consciousness on what one can do for the society comes. The official media will never disseminate information on your street, while people are interested in how things go in their district, street.

Paršonis is going to start a new blog project. He didn’t told us much about it but promised that it would have a serious content and large audience.
