“ The idea is really great, it will help artists to express themselves and if we have an official invitation to represent our exhibitions or send our artists we will be just happy” says one of the representetives of Armenian centre of Contemporary art Vahram Akimyan.

Gvantsula Kordzakhia, 20, is a young photographer , she says she didn’t decided to become a photographer it came itself. At the same time she is a future movie maker but photographing is something different for her, she is in love with it.

“I thinks it will be really great if this centre could give us an opportunity to have exhibitions. Because it’s very difiicult for beginners to have their own exhibitions for free”, says Gvantsula.

Vato Tcereteli says they will give them a chance but at the same time they have some kind of criterias. “You know, we don’t want scandals, we don’t need shocking performances and so on. As a artist who has been in this sphere for 10 days I have a sence how to choose photos. If the artist’s work is available to be shown they will get the chance”, says Vato.

Besides exhibitions there will be also classes of Video art, Photographing, Painting and Sound art. The trainers will be invited not only from Georgia but also from abroad.

Vahagn Vardumyan is an artist from Armenia. He is a video trainer also makes yoga trainings. He calls himself an artivist person. He already has 50.000 photos. It’s enough material to have more then 10 exhibitions. He is ready to share his experience with young students and make trainigs.

“To have such kind of art centre in Georgia is a really good idea. But I have to mention that there are a lot of talented people and artists who can’t participate just because of finances. I mean travelling and finding place to stay and so on. I think the stuff of Contemporary art centre should take into consideration this fact, too.” added he.

So on October the new Contemporary art centre will open its doors to all Georgians and to those who have new, creative and brave ideas for making new art.
