On 16 February at 10:30, Yerevan State Linguistic University introduces a new course on “The role of media in the process of European integration” for MA students from the Department of International Journalism.

By introducing a course on the role of media in European integration, the university endeavours to contribute to a better awareness of the benefits and opportunities of European integration among young journalists and, subsequently, the general public.
The course will become an integral part of the official curriculum of the UNESCO Chair on Human Rights, Democracy and European Studies at YSLU. It comprises lectures and outreach activities about the EU history and institutions, development and prospects of EU-Armenia relations, as well as the role played by media in the European integration of other countries. The course also includes training on relevant skills, such as selection of reliable information sources, adequate situational analysis and transmission of media products to the public. New media technologies will be applied to make the course more interactive and to encourage networking.
