Համացանցի կառավարում և մամուլի բազմակարծություն. ԵԱՀԿ տարածաշրջանային մեդիա համաժողով Թբիլիսիում

Հոկտեմբերի 20-ին Թբիլիսիում մեկնարկեց Հարավկովկասյան 8-րդ տարեկան մեդիա համաժողովը: Երկօրյա միջոցառմանը կքննարկվեն համացանցի կառավարմանը և մեդիա բազմակարծությանը առընչվող հարցեր: Համաժողովը բացեց Մամուլի ազատության ԵԱՀԿ ներկայացուցիչ Դունյա Միյատովիչը:

Համաժողովին մասնակցում են շուրջ 70 լրագրողներ, ԶԼՄ հասարակական կազմակերպություների ներկայացուցիչներ, պատգամավորներ, կառավարության անդամներ ու գիտնականներ Հայաստանից, Ադրբեջանից ու Վրաստանից, ինչպես նաև միջազգային փորձագետներ:

Մասնակիցները կքննարկեն ԵԱՀԿ տարածաշրջանում, մասնավորապես, Հարավային Կովկասում համացանցի դերը բազմակարծության խթանման հարցում, կվերլուծեն միջազգային չափանիշերն ու պրակտիկան և Հարավային Կովկասում մամուլի ազատության ոլորտում տեղի ունեցող վերջին զարգացումները:

Միջազգային ու տեղական փորձագետները կխոսեն համացանցի կառավարման ոլորտի իրենց փորձառության մասին: Կներկայացվի նաև Հարավային Կովկասում լրատվամիջոցների իրավական վիճակը համացանցում խոսքի ազատության մասին ԵԱՀԿ զեկույցից:

Internet Governance and Media Pluralism: OSCE Regional Media Conference in Tbilisi

Journalists are invited to cover the eighth annual South Caucasus Media Conference in Tbilisi on October 20. The conference starts at 10:00 at Hotel Marriott, Rustaveli Avenue 13, Tbilisi, 0108 Georgia.

The two-day event will provide a forum for discussion on Internet governance and media pluralism. The conference will be opened by OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatović.

More than 70 journalists, representatives of non-governmental media organizations, parliamentarians, government officials and academics from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, as well as international experts are expected to attend.

Participants will discuss the role of the Internet in promoting pluralism in the OSCE region and the South Caucasus in particular, analyse international standards and practices, and share the latest developments in the field of media freedom in the South Caucasus.

International and national experts will speak about their experiences regarding the issues on the Internet governance. Information on the legal situation of the media in the South Caucasus from an OSCE report on freedom of expression on the Internet will also be presented.

Tbilisi Movie Theatres Sue Certain Internet-Portals

On October 4 the largest movie theatres of Tbilisi Amirani and Rustaveli turned in a lawsuit against 7 Internet portals to the City Court Administrative Case Board.

The movie theatres request prohibition of posting of unlicensed movies at websites and reimbursement of material loss. The given information was publicized at October 4 press conference in Amirani by the PR Manager of the movie theatres Irina Kilasonidze and the Chairman of the Authors Society of Georgia Giga Kobaladze. Among the concerned Internet portals are: gize.ge, allshares.ge, boom.ge.

According to Giga Kobaladze, the movie theatres have appealed for assistance to the Copyright Association of Georgia and the lawsuit has been worked out mutually.

“Movies Rambo and The Tree of Life are posted at Georgian websites illegally and without any license, which causes serious loss to the movie theatres,” Kobaladze stressed.

Irina Kilasonidze refrained from naming precise amount of loss, but stated that “the loss is big.”

“When purchasing a movie a contract obliges us to protest the copyrights, which is often impossible. It may happen that they will not provide us any movies in future,” Kilasonidze claimed.
