«Լռության ձայն» սոցիալական խմբի լսողության խանգարում ունեցող երիտասարդներն այսօր բաց նամակ են hղել Հեռուստատեսության և ռադիոյի ազգային հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Գրիգոր Ամալյանին: Նամակի հեղինակներն իրենց մտահոգությունն են հայտնում դեկտեմբերի 16-ին հեռուստահեռարձակման լիցենզավորման մրցույթում ՀՌԱՀ-ի կայացրած որոշման վերաբերյալ, համաձայն որի` «ԱԼՄ» հեռուստաընկերությունը կդադարի եթերային հեռարձակումը:

Նամակում նշված է, որ  հունվարի 20-ից «ԱԼՄ» ՀԸ հեռարձակման դադարից հետո, Հայաստանի լսողության խանգարում ունեցող անձինք կզրկվեն իրենց մայրենի լեզվով (ժեստերի լեզու) հանրապետությունում և աշխարհում կատարվող իրադարձությունների մասին տեղեկատվություն ստանալուց: Թեպետ տարբեր հեռուստաընկերությունների լրատվական հաղորդումները ուղեկցվում են նաև ինֆորմացիոն բնույթի վազող տողով, սակայն դրանք մատչելի և հասանելի չեն նրանց:

«Մենք պահանջում ենք չանտեսել ՀՀ 3,500 լսողության խանգարում ունեցող քաղաքացիների ինֆորմացված լինելու իրավունքները և անհապաղ միջոցներ ձեռնարկել հունվարի 20-ից ապահովելու լրատվական հաղորդումների ժեստերի լեզվով թարգամանությունը` չխախտելով լսողության խնդիր ունեցող քաղաքացիների իրազեկված լինելու իրավունքը»:

Today, the hearing impaired young people of the social group “The Voice of Silence” sent an open letter to the chairman of National Commission for Television and Radio of Armenia (NCTR) Grigor Amalyan. The authors of the letter are concerned with the decision of NCTR made during the TV broadcast licesnsing contest on December 16, according to which “ALM” TV channel will stop broadcasting.

The letter particularly states that starting from January 20, after the broadcasting on “ALM” TV is stopped, the hearing impaired in Armenia will be deprived of getting information on the events in Armenia and in the world on their native language (gestures’ language). Though some TV channels provide the news blocks with a running-line but that does not satisfy their needs.

“We demand not to ignore the 3,500 hearing impaired RA citizens’ rights to be informed and to immediately take measures to provide gestures’ interpretation during the news broadcasts starting from January 20.”

The copies of the letter are addressed to the chairman of the Council of the RA Public TV and Radio Aleksan Harutyunyan, the Human Rights Defender in Armenia (Ombudsman) Armen Harutyunyan and the owner of “ALM” Holding Tigran Karapetyan.

JNews.am-ը խնդրել էր իր Վանաձորի գործընկեր Նաիրա Բուլղադարյանին «ԱԼՄ հոլդինգի» սեփականատեր Տիգրան Կարապետյանի կազմակերպած այսօրվա հանրահավաքի մասնակիցներից 10-ին մեկ հարց տալ`ինչո՞ւ են նրանք եկել այս հանրահավաքին:

«ԱԼՄ»-ի վանաձորյան հանրահավաքը, ըստ կազմակերպիչների, արտոնված չէր քաղաքային իշխանությունների կողմից, բայց ներկա ոստիկանների հանդուրժողական կեցվածքը հակառակ տպավորություն էր ստեղծում:

«Ընդդեմ անարդարության» կարգախոսով հանրահավաքը տեղի ունեցավ քաղաքի կենտրոնական «Հայք» հրապարակում, որը թեև լեցուն էր մարդկանցով, սակայն ոչ այնքան, որ խաթարեր հրապարակի և նրա հարակից փողոցների երթևեկությունը: Կարապետյանը վանաձորցիների հետ խոսեց առանց բարձրախոսի, քանի որ հանրահավաքը էլեկտրաէներգիայիով ապահովված չէր: Այս պատճառով հանրահավաքին եկած վանաձորցիները ամոթանք տեղացին քաղաքային իշխանությունների հասցեին:

Մասնակիցների մեծ մասը տարեց տղամարդիկ էին: Նրանց մեջ կային մասնակիցներ, ովքեր ժամանել էին հանրահավաքի հարակից գյուղերից ու քաղաքներից:

Starting from January 1, in Armenia, a car crash damage insurance process prescribed by law is to be implemented for the first time.

According to this law, if the insured vehicle damages the health of a citizen, a car or property, then the compensation costs will be paid by the insurance company with which the driver causing damage has signed an insurance contract.

The APPA abbreviation, which means “Obligatory Car Insurance of a Civil Liability”, is being used by everyone independent of age or driving license over the last few months.

That is the result of a propaganda campaign which the Armenian government implemented in association with about ten insurance companies, so that all of the drivers could manage to sign the contract of obligatory insurance.

The deadline was December 31, 2010. But the requirement touched only 30 percent of car owners. In other words, only 135,000 contracts were signed instead of 450,000 planned.

“Every vehicle must have APPA insurance, for it solves a social issue and insures groups with little income,” says Nane Matevosyan, Marketing Manager at “Ingo Armenia” Insurance CJSC.

Matevosyan brings the example of taxi drivers, who colliding with an expensive car will face a big problem in compensating the property and human damages.

Arthur and Naira are leaving for Egypt in 3 days. This year they decided to spend their winter vacation in Sharm-el-Sheikh. This is the second year that this family prefers to have rest abroad and not in any of the resort areas of Armenia.

“For me it’s nonsense to spend vacation in Armenia. The service here annoys instead of relaxing. In my case I exclude resting in Armenia,” says 42-year-old Arthur.

He mentions that he and his wife decided to go to Egypt because the trip is very convenient from the price point of view. “The relatively cheapest variants are either Turkey or Egypt. This time I chose Egypt,” says Arthur.

The employee of the “Dubai” tour agency says that in winter a lot of people prefer going to Egypt or the United Arab Emirates because there is no problem to obtain a visa for these countries, and there are charter flights from Yerevan. According to the same source, often it’s even cheaper to spend holidays in the mentioned countries than in Armenia.

For instance, an 11-day vacation in Egypt in a four-star hotel including the food twice a day costs 141,000 AMD (about $385).

“Bloody Friday. Who broke Dink’s ink?” book by Turkish writer for “Milliyet” daily Nedim Sheneri, will appear in the bookstores at the end of the week. Sheneri’s courageous investigation unveils how careless the police officers are and the dark sides of criminals’ activities.

The book says that Dink’s murderer Ogun Samast, who is jailed in Samsun, declared it was good for him to be jailed in Samsun as he would be murdered in Giresun. But his words were not recorded properly; they say Ogun said: “I was jailed in Samsun and that’s good.”

Hrant Dink, editor-in-chief of “Agos” daily, was murdered on 19 January, 2007, before his office.
